FESTIVAL
Why A Festival?
When you look at the calendar of events in your city, how often is the Christian community represented? How often is the name of Christ represented? Chances are there are all-day events for the various communities in your city, but rarely is the Christian community represented. Let’s change that!
We thought it would be fun to have an all-day event to celebrate the King of kings and Lord of lords and the Christian community. A day to celebrate the peace and joy that comes with surrendering to His Lordship. His kingship represents His rule of grace, mercy, justice, and peace over all nations. This is a celebration that unites us in worship and mission.
When we think about what Christ has done for us, who has more to celebrate than us? Let us boast in Christ and Him crucified!

WE NEED YOUR HELP
We’re looking for individuals, businesses, and churches to sponsor our event. We can’t do this without the community coming alongside of us and partnering with us for the event.
All donations go directly to the festival.

Yes! This event is free and open to the public. There are no requirements for attending the event. We’re excited to bring a free family-friendly event for the public to Downtown Grand Haven.

No. We are an independent organization. We’re not affiliated with a specific denomination or affiliated with a specific church. This is a grassroots organization started by a couple of individuals who want to share the good news of the Gospel with their city. While churches can partner with us, they are not the creators of the event or the organization.

Yes, we do. We wish to partner with churches who affirm, with joy, historic Christianity. All churches who wish to partner with us must sign our statement of belief, which is outlined below.
First, they must affirm the Apostle’s Creed.
The Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic* church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
*that is, the true Christian church of all times and all placesThey must also affirm our statements on Marriage and Gender.
On Marriage
We believe that marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, established at creation as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. As taught in Genesis 2:18-24, God created woman from man to be a suitable helper, and the two are united as "one flesh," reflecting a profound unity and mutual commitment. Jesus reaffirms this in Matthew 19:4-6, declaring that what God has joined together, no one should separate, emphasizing the permanence of the marital bond.
Marriage serves distinct purposes: the mutual help and companionship of husband and wife (Genesis 2:18), the raising of godly offspring (Malachi 2:15), and the prevention of immorality through the faithful expression of love and intimacy within the covenant (1 Corinthians 7:2-5). It is a reflection of Christ’s relationship with His Church, as described in Ephesians 5:22-33, where husbands are called to love their wives sacrificially, and wives are called to respect and submit to their husbands as unto the Lord.
Marriage is to be between one man and one woman.
On Gender
We believe that God, in His infinite wisdom and sovereign design, created humanity in His image, male and female, as distinct yet harmonious expressions of His creative will. The Bible declares in Genesis 1:27, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." This foundational truth establishes that gender is a purposeful gift from God, rooted in His act of creation, and not a mere social construct or human invention. The binary distinction of male and female reflects God’s order and intention for human identity, relationships, and flourishing.
Human beings, including their gendered nature as male and female, are part of God’s good created order, designed according to His will and not subject to human redefinition.
We affirm that sin, as described in Genesis 3 has corrupted human nature, leading to confusion, rebellion, and distortion of God’s good gifts, including gender. Yet, through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, God restores His people to live in accordance with His original design, calling us to honor our created identities as male and female for His glory.
Thus, we hold that gender is a fixed, God-given reality, established at creation, and that men and women, though equal in dignity and worth as image-bearers of God, are distinct in their roles and callings, as seen in Scripture
